The Memphis Grizzlies have been making some loud statements early on as they won three straight games vs. New York, Oklahoma Ciy, and Miami. They own an 8-2 record and thus far have looked like a team ready to challenge for the NBA crown. The Lakers have assembled a world class team, but are getting journeymen results. And, with their recent coaching change, they should be headed in a better direction. This is exactly what the Lakers needed to kick-start the team, getting away from LA, and having a top-level opponent that can get their competitive juices flowing and kick-start the team on a long winning streak.
