I can't trust this Houston defense as a big favorite, ranked #28 in the NBA in points allowed (107.2 points per game) and dead last in field goal shooting allowing 47%. The Lakers had to play last night, and got blown out by the Spurs, but are still on a 2-1 spread run. Rookie point guard D'Angelo Russell scored a season-high 24 points against the Spurs and also had six rebounds and six assists in his second straight strong performance. Russell tallied 23 points against the Minnesota Timberwolves on Wednesday. He has made eight three-pointers in the two games while displaying the skills that led Los Angeles to make him the second overall pick in the 2015 draft. The Lakers are 4-1 ATS when playing on no rest, while Houston is 2-8 ATS in its last 10 home games. Houston forward Trevor Ariza (back) will miss his second straight game and the road team is 5-0 ATS in the last five meetings. Grab the bushel of points and take the LA Lakers.
