The San Antonio Spurs were sailing along, but have hit a rough spot as they have now dropped four straight games. This is a first since April of 2011 for San Antonio. The Spurs have always been commited to the defensive end, and I would think they would raise the level of intensity on that end of the floor to get them back on track. The Clippers have gone over the century mark in 13 of their last 14 games, and I think that will be the clincher to the Spurs desire and ability to clamp down on the defensive end. This season LA is just 1-8 ATS vs. good free through shooting teams like San Antonio (teams that make over 75% from the charity stripe). As good a coach as Doc Rivers is, his teams are just 48-74 ATS following back-to-back-to-back 100+ point performances. Under Gregg Popovich, the Spurs are 440-366 at home including 84-69 ATS if the total is set high (200+). The Clippers have failed to make it over the total in their last six following a game where they produced a 100 or more points. And additionally, they have failed to top the total in their last five on a day of rest. Make the play on the Spurs and the UNDER in this one.
