They face strong Memphis squad that is 7-3 straight-up at home. Memphis is third in the NBA defensively in points allowed, #11 in field goal shooting defense. The Grizzlies have held eight opponents under 100 points. When these teams met two weeks ago in Los Angeles, the Clippers won in overtime, 112-107. However, Memphis led by eight in the final two minutes and for the game the Clippers had 27 free throws while the Grizzlies had just 18. Memphis star point guard Mike Conley fouled out, as well.
