The Hawks have stepped up their play this season and with a win tonight, they will record their fifth straight. If they accomplish this feat, it will be the first time the team has done so since December 8th, 1999 - over eight years ago. This is a team that has made great strides, despite playing a very difficult home schedule. They own wins vs Phoenix, Dallas and Utah on their home-court. The Hawks have now won seven of their last nine, and have done it with a commitment to the defensive end of the floor where they rank 7th in the NBA in points allowed. The Pacers have played well themselves, and like a fast paced game. They have struggled when the game doesn't take on an up and down tempo however. The Pacers are 4-7 ATS when the total is 202 or less, and that includes 2-5 ATS on the road. This isn't a good spot for them, vs a team that is hot, and likes to lull the opponent to sleep. The Pacers are also 2-7 ATS when they don't reach 100 points. Look for Atlanta to post their fifth straight win for the first time this century.
