It's splashdown time for the Rockets. The streak is over and the reality of playing without Yao will be unsettling to their backers down the stretch. Their can't-lose mentality is now gone, and with it their good play. And now here comes Phoenix. The Suns have settled in now with Shaq in the middle after needing some adjustment time. Shaq's minutes are on the incline (25-30 min per game), and he is averaging a double-double in the last three. The Suns are heating up offense as well, scoring at a 121 ppg clip in last five, all wins by 8 or more. Emotionally the Rockets are off the win streak high, while the Suns are in the midst of the mindset that players get from extended winning. We like the Suns by double-digits.
