Game one of the Western Conference Finals was not a fluke. It was an evenly matched game all the way between the #1 and #2 seeds in the West. Despite being off a game seven, the Rockets matched up well with the Warriors in a 110-106 final as a +10 point dog. Houston is much improved defensively from a year ago and the offense is still lights out at #6 in the league in scoring. The Rockets are 23-9 ATS following a loss and 18-8 ATS playing on one day of rest. In game one, both teams shot just over 46%, both had 14 offensive rebounds and Houston had a slight edge on the glass (47-43) and in points in the paint (52-50). Houston came out playing small and got a lead with their quickness, so Golden State was forced to go small in a chess match of talented pieces and versatile lineups. The Warriors are 4-9 ATS when following a win and just 2-7 ATS in their last nine home games. The Warriors are also 1-4 ATS after allowing 100 points or more in their previous game and this Houston team has more than enough to hang with them again. Take the points on Houston in game two.
