The Golden State Warriors are not the run-and-gun team that was on display in the Don Nelson era. This team can still get out on the break, but have been more conventional. They have better team chemistry, and put forth an effort on the defensive end. They have been an early surprise in the NBA at 12-7 and an even better 9-3 over their last 12 and are taking on the look of a bona fide playoffs contender. Washington caught the Miami Heat napping, but all that did was open the eyes of their coming opponents that they have to come to play to get a win. This is still a brutally bad team, having allowed 100+ in six of their last seven games. And, the problem with that is the offense has scored 95 or less in 75% of their games, so the wins are going to be few and far between. The Wizards are 16-66 straight-up the past three seasons vs. teams like Golden State that make 6+ three pointers per game. Over that span, Washington is also just 25-98 as an underdog and 12-63 as a dog on the moneyline at +145 to +350. It doesn't get much uglier than that. Take the Warriors straight-up here.
