Golden State at Toronto

Premium Pick

The absence of Kevin Durant finally caught up with Golden State, in addition to the rowdy fans giving Toronto a huge home-court advantage. Pascal Siakam exploded for 32 points, and Kawhi Leonard and Marc Gasol added 23 and 20 points, respectively while the Raptors shot 50.6 percent and held the Warriors to 43.6 percent from the field. Durant is doubtful for Game 2 as coach Steve Kerr said he'd have to see how Durant practiced first. The Raptors now have won the last three meetings and covered four of the last five. Also, Toronto is on a five-game winning streak after winning the last four against Milwaukee in the Eastern Conference Final. Golden State is 7-19 ATS against the Atlantic Division and 2-7 ATS its last nine versus Eastern Conference teams. The Raptors are 35-16-2 ATS their last 53 home games versus teams with winning road records. The Warriors cannot afford to allow the Raptors an early lead and will try to take the crowd out of it by playing tough defense from the start. The Raptors figure to cool off from their .500-plus shooting percentage. Take the Raptors for my NBA Playoffs Max Play Game of the Year and the first half UNDER.
