The Nets have a much different look this year as well as a competitive bench fighting for minutes. That usually means that if guys want minutes, they have to play some defense. In game one NJ allowed 85 on the road to a Washington team that put up over 100 per game at home last year. There was only 159 shots taken in the game, and the defensive commitment along with the half-court offense is on course. Golden State missed the playoffs despite scoring 100+ in 40 of their last 43 games. Something needs to change and at Toronto they played in the 90s, but overtime pushed them past the 100 mark, and just 103 in game 1. The Nets have the commitment to hold this team down for at least awhile and I will make this a first-half UNDER play.
