The perception is that Memphis is really the only NBA team that has the kind of hounding defense that can control the Golden State Warriors. Now hold on for a moment. This Warriors team was historically good this season, tops in the NBA in field goal and three-point shooting, plus tops in field goal defense. They've had a pair of bad shooting games against Memphis, but let's not make the leap that the Grizzlies have the antidote to shut down this Warriors bunch. The Warriors are 17-8 ATS against a team with a winning percentage above .600. Memphis won the first meeting earlier in the season, then Golden State clobbered them 107-84 in the rematch. The Warriors won the final regular season meeting, mostly in a rout before Steve Kerr rested players and the Grizzlies made the final score respectable. Then in Game 1 of the playoffs Memphis lost 101-86 as Golden State shot 50.6% from the field and 46.4% from long range. If Memphis knows how to shut down the Warriors, why did Golden State win three one-sided games in a row before this two-game Grizzlies win streak? Don't sell the talented Warriors short as they bounce back tonight. Play Golden State on the moneyline.
