This is a tough spot for Golden State - a team riding a four-game skid despite playing the last three at home and still trying to adjust offensively after trading away their best player, Monte Ellis. The key guy in the trade they added was Andruw Bogut, who is still out with an injury. They've scored 87 or less points in three of the last six games and face a dynamite L.A. Lakers defense, one that is allowing 93.6 points per game (seventh best in the NBA) and .428% shooting (fourth). The Lakers are motivated as they have the No. 3 seed in the West, trying to stay ahead of Dallas and have a good shot at overtaking San Antonio for the No. 2 seed. Bogut was acquired to improve Golden State's rebounding - their biggest problem, and they face an LA frontcourt that is second in the NBA in rebounding. And the home team is 6-1 ATS in the last seven meetings between these teams. Play the LA Lakers. Also, play the first half UNDER. The Warriors are still trying to find their offense without Ellis and Bogut is not a part of the team. The UNDER is 5-1 in the Warriors’ last six road games and they face one of the top defensive teams in the league in the Lakers under first-year Coach Mike Brown, who prefers a slower pace and all-out defense. When these teams met last week the Lakers held the Warriors to 16 first quarter points as they jumped out to a 25-16 lead. Play the first half UNDER.
