Golden State at Los Angeles

The Los Angeles Clippers will open their first playoffs series vs. the Golden State Warriors at home. The Clippers' 57 wins on the season were third best in the entire NBA, and their 34-7 mark at home was tied for the best in the Western Conference. The Clippers are a very deep team with eight players scoring 8 or more points per game. They have a powerful duo off the glass in Griffin and Jordan who combine for 23.1 rebounds per game. Add the fact that Andrew Bogut is dealing with a rib injury and his 10 rebounds per game likely absent, the Clippers should own the glass in this game. The Clippers lost a lot of games to starters and key reserves this season becasue of injuries. Barnes missed 19 games, Reddick lost 47 games, Paul was out 20 games, and Crawford was absent in 13 games. They are now as healthy as they have been all season, and when this team has its full compliment of players they are ultra dangerous. Golden State can match the depth of the Clippers, but without Bogut they will certainly look short on the interior, and will need to have a lights-out shooting game here to stay in it. Even with the injuries, the Clippers have not lost more than two straight games all season, and have been consistent all year. LA is 18-6 ATS when following a loss, including 7-1 ATS vs a team .570 or better. Lay the points and take the Clippers.
