The Dallas Mavericks are just trying to hold serve until Dirk Nowitzki returns, which should be in early December. They have had trouble doing so on the road, but have been up to the task at home where they are 4-1 to start the season - minus their star. Golden State is now more of a conventional team instead of a run and gun team, but they still pick their spots, just less frequently. That has still been haunting them on the road where they have allowed over 104 points per game in their last five roadies. The Mavs will be better now that Shawn Marion is back on the floor, and he had a double-double in his first game back. Golden State was torched for 1-20 from beyond the arc in their last game, and just don't get after it enough on defense to stay close here. Play on Dallas.
