Detroit roared back in game 3 as they broke out of their offensive funk and played better defense as well. The roles basically reversed as San Antonio played very uncharacteristically with Duncan going 5 for 15 and Ginobili 2-6, playing injured. They notched 18 turnovers as well. Will we see the same thing tonight? I doubt it. I believe despite their best efforts, it was hard for San Antonio to get up for the last game after winning games 1 and 2 by 18 points on average and facing a back-against-the-wall Pistons team. Detroit had to win. Tonight is different. San Antonio is one game away from a tied series and they are too good to let down tonight. I don't think we'll see another night like that from the Spurs stars. We also have history on our side. In the NBA finals, teams coming home 0-2 and winning game 3 have gone on to lose game 4 outright eight out of twelve times! While the first three games have been absolute blowouts, I expect a much closer game tonight. San Antonio is 8-2 ATS on the road revenging a loss vs opponent of 10 points or more over the last 3 seasons. Also, in the eleven games this season in which they revenged a loss in which they scored 85 or less, they are 9-2 ATS. Two stars on the Spurs.
