Detroit at San Antonio

Tough stretch for the Pistons as they have had to play Boston, Dallas and now San Antonio in three straight games. This has been where the Pistons have shined. This year the Pistons have only dropped a pair of games in a row one other time and came back to win and get the cover, allowing just 86 points. Last year the Pistons dropped a pair of games in a row nine times and came back to win eight of nine and cover seven of those nine! They have now won nine of their last 10 after two losses and it is defense that makes the difference. The Pistons allowed just 86 points per game in those nine wins! The last nine times these teams met in the regular season only once did the game score 180+, but none played in San Antonio topped this total. If you go back to ‘04-‘05 these teams met in a seven-game series and no game topped this total in regulation. The one game that did went to OT. So just once in the last 16 meetings between these teams have seen this total topped, and Detroit is holding teams to 86 ppg after two losses, winning 90% of them.
