Detroit at Phoenix

This could be a long season for both Detroit and Phoenix, as the loser here will start the season 0-2. Phoenix will miss Steve Nash and now have Doran Dragic at the point, and it wasn't good enough vs. a pedestrian Golden State team in their opener. That isn't all, as the Suns have nine new faces on the roster to open the season, and the composite is average at best. To start the season, there are going to be growing pains and chemistry issues, so they will be most vulnerable early. The Pistons are a young team, and will undoubtedly get more from Rodney Stuckey who shot a horrific 1-10 in the opener. The fact that Phoenix has elected Jermaine O'Neal and Jered Dudley as leaders and captains may say all you need to know about the talent pool in Phoenix this season - and the pool is not deep.
