Detroit at Minnesota

The Minnesota Timberwolves made some noise in the offseason when they dealt their best player in Kevin Love in exchange for highly sought after draft pick Andrew Wiggins. The trade may pay dividends down the road, but for now it has left a scoring and rebounding void. In 19 minutes on the court in the opener, Wiggins managed just six points. Stan Van Gundy has taken over in Detroit, and he has a resume known for winning. Detroit played well last night in Denver, but despite shooting just 36.9% and a dreadful 57.9% from the line they lost by just 10. Better shooting nights are ahead, and if they shot just a bit below average from the field and line, they would have been in a position to win on the road. I think the Pistons are a step ahead of Minnesota right now, and the T-Wolves have been awful when playing without rest where they have been 3-15 ATS in their last 18. Play on Detroit.
