Detroit at Miami

A rematch of the 05-06 Conference finals will take place in Miami tonight. The Heat will again be without Dwayne Wade, recovering from knee, and shoulder surgery, while Richard Hamilton is a maybe with an ankle sprain for the Pistons. The Heat have dominated this series of late, covering six of the last seven at home, and Shaq has been a huge factor. Shaq seems to be at his best against the Pistons, as in his last six games facing them at home, he has produced 27.7ppg, and 11.2rpg. It has been more than the Pistons have been able to overcome. The Pistons have not been good in this spot to their backers either, as they have managed to cover just 5 of 19 on the road as a 5-10.5 point chalk. The Heat meanwhile excel in this spot, as they have been 10-4-2 ATS in their last 16 as a home dog of 5-10.5. The Heat plays its best when given doubt on their home court, having been 7-3 last year. Miami has been 10-3 ATS in all games against Detroit over the last three years, and Miami has been 28-16 ATS as an underdog. Seems like Shaq takes it as a personal challenge to be the dog in the fight, and his numbers against this Detroit team show it. We like the Heat as a home dog in this one.
