Detroit at Charlotte

The All-Star game came at a perfect time for Detroit, in the middle of a four-game road trip. They won at Toronto two games ago, 128-105, as a dog. It was their third straight cover on the road and they're 11-4 ATS after a spread loss. Inconsistent Charlotte has been in win-one, lose-one mode for a while, failing to win two straight since the first week of February. Part of that is that the Hornets rely too much on three-point shooting at 38.5 percent, sixth-best in the NBA. But the offense is #16 in field goal shooting overall, #19 from the charity stripe. Detroit is 15-7 ATS against teams that hit 36% or better from three-point land, while Charlotte is 3-12 ATS at home when the total is 220 to 229.5. Play Detroit.
