Denver at Portland

Many of the Portland brass are disappointed with the 6-6 start by the Trailblazers. They squandered an early season schedule that had them opening up on the road for three games, followed by 10 of their next 11 at home. They are just 4-4 on the current eight-game homestand, and lost their last time out to lowly Brooklyn, who was playing shorthanded on top of it. Denver has been an early surprise, as the Nuggets are 8-5 and have played very well of late putting seven of their last nine in the win column, and five of their last six with the only loss coming to Golden State. The Nuggets have shot 45% or better in eight of their last nine, while Portland has shot under 40% in four of their last nine.
