When will the oddsmakers and public catch on to the George Karl effect in Denver? Don't know but it hasn't happened yet. Denver demonstrated their talent once again last night. They are in an easy part of their schedule and have a very real shot at winning their final six games prior to the break. They are half way there. Melo is passing the ball, and the entire team is sharing the basketball for the first time in a long time. They are also playing great defense, and rebounding extremely well. They are playing like everyone thought they could at the beginning of the season. They believe right now in Karl and are playing their hearts out. There is real turmoil and distraction in Portland. Portland is 16-31 ATS in home games after a game where they made 85% of their free throws or better since 1996. Karl has promised a day off to his new team if they get the W here. Denver will win this game outright. Four stars on the Nuggets.
