Denver at Phoenix

There is yet again a lot of value with Denver tonight as they are getting points. Denver has been playing almost perfect basketball as of late. In fact, Denver is 13-2 ATS in their last 15 games. I expect Denver to come out strong again tonight, and try to get the upset. I understand that Phoenix has also been playing solid basketball as of late, but the bottom line is that this is too many points. Expect a strong showing on both sides of the court tonight from Denver - winners of six straight and 14 of 15. The Nuggets are the hottest team in the Western Conference. Despite their late-season push, they are still only eighth in the West, one game behind seventh-place Memphis and 2 1/2 in front of Minnesota. That means they could be paired up with conference-leading Phoenix in the opening round so this will be an interesting preview. Denver might not win outright, but I will call for them to get the against the spread win. Three stars on Denver. Also, 8 of 10 games in this series have gone under the total over the last 3 seasons. But, both teams are lighting it up right now. Games involving teams that have scored 100 points or more 3 straight games facing an opponent after scoring 110 points or more are 68-37 OVER the last five seasons. With the way these two teams are playing, we'll go contrarian here and look for this to sail over the total for two stars.
