The New York Knicks looked like a rising team a year ago. They played strong in the playoffs, but opened this season with more questions than answers. This team has been all over the place lately, but when you put it all together, a team once 12 games under .500 is 9-8 in their last 17. They're playing over .500 and they have won four of their last six at home. Denver has taken a step back as well, playing basically .500 basketball on the season. They have even dipped under .500 over their last 11 games, and are just 3-6 in their last nine on the road. One of the reasons why the Knicks are 9-8 in their last 17 games is because they have held more than half of their opponents to under 100 points. The season is not over for the Knicks as despite the poor record, they are 2.5 games out of the playoffs if the regular season ended today. That should call for another strong defensive effort here against a struggling team. The Knicks have allowed a reasonable 98.9 per game on the season, and they've stepped up their defense of late to allow just 95.0 per game over their last five games. Dating back to last season, New York is 22-11 to the UNDER when the total is 200 or higher. Take the Knicks, and back the UNDER in this one.
