The Nuggets were supposed to be one of the top five teams in the league this season. After an 0-2 start they are desperate for a win. Thanks to Denver's slow start, Miami may relax a bit here and get caught. And if you don't give Denver a chance here, consider that the Nuggets have had the Heat's number, having won 11 of the last 13 meetings outright. Denver's offense has looked horrible in the first two games, but that's more a fluke than anything as this team led the league in scoring a season ago. The shots have not been falling for Denver, but that won't continue forever. Denver has posted an amazing record vs. the Eastern Conference the past few seasons, going 33-14 straight-up. During George Karl's stint here, this team is 133-71 vs. the East. And, under Erik Spoelstra, the Heat are just 17-23 straight-up in November games. I think this is a good spot for the Nuggets to win. Take them on the moneyline at 3-to-1.
