Nikola Jokic has been battling an illness the past week that has sapped his energy and he played through it Friday night against Brooklyn. If he plays today, he likely won't be near 100 percent healthy. The Nuggets also are dealing with injuries to Jamal Murray and Aaron Grodon, who are day-to-day. Dallas has some issues of its own with Kyrie Irving and Luka Doncic out, but the Mavericks have made adjustments and other players have stepped up as they won their past two games against the Lakers and Portland. Jaden Hardy had 25 points and P.J. Washington added 23 as the Mavericks overcame a 10-point deficit in the final 4:33 with a 16-0 run against the Trail Blazers, who were outscored 58-38 in the paint on Thursday. Denver is 1-4 ATS its past five road games against Dallas, which won the last meeting 123-120 on Nov. 22. Dallas has won eight of 11 home games outright.
