The Nuggets finally lost a game last night, but this team has come on fast and loud since late last season. They gave the world-champion Lakers a handful in the playoffs and reeled off five straight impressive wins this season before losing in Miami last night. They now move to Atlanta coming off a loss which should be motivating. The Hawks have been playing more up-tempo basketball this season, and that suits the Nuggets just fine as that is their blueprint to winning. Arron Affalo has given the Nuggets even more scoring as he has contributed nearly 10 per game so far, and Melo is doing his thing in spades at 31.7ppg. Atlanta has allowed 102.5 ppg and Denver is 30-17 ATS since last season vs. teams that allow triple-digits. Also, Atlanta is 16-29 ATS the past three seasons when coming off a double-digit loss. The Nuggets should get to 100+ points here and they are an amazing 23-3 ATS in their last 26 games when they have gone over 100 points. I like the Nuggets to rebound from their loss and get another win here. I also like the OVER in this game. The Hawks have gone over the 100 point mark four times already and have also allowed 100+ four times. Under George Karl, the Nuggets are 78-56 OVER in non-conference games. This one will play high, and I like the Nuggets and OVER in this one.
