This is the biggest game on the card for today as the Dallas Mavericks and the Memphis Grizzlies close out the NBA regular season. The payoff is a large one for the winner, as they will finish with 50 wins, and the #7 seed. That means not having to open the playoffs in San Antonio. This game should take on playoff characteristics, which means the team that brings it the hardest on the defensive end of the court is likely to be the winner. That gives the edge to Memphis who plays a playoff-type game, and runs in the half-court. The Grizzlies caught fire after a sluggish start to the season. They have recorded 13 straight home wins and would like to maintain that mental edge heading into the playoffs. Dallas will be short of their top player in Dirk Nowitzki after he turned his ankle last game. He may play but likely fewer minutes and with less effectiveness, and his points will limit what Dallas does on offense. Memphis has really stepped up at home v.s a team with a winning road record at they are 38-15 ATS in their last 53 against them. Dallas is just 2-7 ATS in their last nine off a win, and have played UNDER in four of their last five. The last six in Memphis have seen five play to the UNDER. Memphis controls things at home, and delivers on the defensive end while Dallas has to find points that won't be there because of Nowitzki's absence. Take Memphis and the UNDER.
