The last few years of the Kobe Bryant era were disgraceful for a Lakers franchise that is used to challenging for championships, not dwelling in the basement. They started the post-Kobe era with a lot of promise at 6-4 to open the season, but things have rapidly gotten away from them, and this young team appears to have lost a lot of confidence.
