Cleveland Coach Dave Blatt started Mike Miller at forward in game one and got roasted, so he moved 6-9 Tristan Thompson into that spot for game two and it helped against the bigger, more physical Bulls to even the series. However, Thompson isn't that much of a difference-maker inside, averaging 8.5 points and eight rebounds during the season. The loss of 7-foot Kevin Love really hurts the Cavaliers, who already lost Anderson Varejeo earlier in the year - a hard working role player under the glass. The Cavaliers are 5-11 ATS against the NBA Central Division and 2-6 ATS after scoring 100 points or more in their previous game. Making matters worse for the already short-handed Cavs, Iman Shumpert, starting in place of the suspended J.R. Smith, suffered a strained left groin in game two. Even when healthy this is a tough matchup for Cleveland and now Chicago is the healthier team with Derrick Rose and Jimmy Butler a dynamic backcourt punch, plus all the powerful big men the Bulls have. Chicago won the rebounding battle in game one in a 99-92 road victory, as Butler and Rose each topped 20 points. Chicago is 7-3 ATS at home and 8-1 ATS when their opponent scores 100 points or more in their previous game. This is a tough matchup for Cleveland on the road with the Cavaliers just 5-13 ATS against the Bulls, including 2-5 ATS at Chicago. Take Chicago in game three.
