Charlotte at Miami

Miami lost Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh, but the Heat still has a dominating force at center with Hassan Whiteside and it used balanced scoring to defeat Orlando 108-96 in the season opener. Whiteside scored 18 points and pulled down 14 rebounds and five other players scored in double figures as the Heat shot 48.5 percent and held the Magic to just 38.6 percent from the field. Charlotte lost three of their top six scorers from last season, including Jeremy Lin, Al Jefferson and Courtney Lee. The Hornets won at Milwaukee 107-96 with Michael Kidd-Gilchrist scoring 23 points and Kemba Walker adding 17 points. The Heat won a seven-game series against Charlotte in last season's playoffs, topping it off with a 106-73 blowout in the deciding game. Miami has covered the number in 16 of its last 21 home games.
