Premium Pick

A pair of teams out of any playoff race. Charlotte has decided to open up its rotation and take a look at some of the younger players after being eliminated. Rookie forward Noah Vonleh got 21 minutes off the bench the last game and responded with four points and six rebounds while guard Troy Daniels busted out for 15 points in 20 minutes, so there are a lot of kids fighting for jobs. Charlotte is a terrific defensive team at 10th in the NBA in rebounds and sixth in points allowed. The Hornets are 20-8-3 ATS on the road against a team with a losing home record. While Charlotte is eighth in the NBA in field goal shooting defense, Detroit ranks 23rd. The Pistons have dropped their last two games, and four of five, including a 102-78 setback in Charlotte on April 1. Detroit is 29th in the NBA in team free-throw shooting (70.2 percent) and lamented its poor performance at the line after going 12-of-23 in a 107-103 loss to Indiana on Friday. Charlotte has taken five of the last six in the series, including three straight in Detroit. The road team is 13-4 ATS when they meet, and Charlotte is 5-1 ATS versus the Pistons, including 5-1 ATS at Detroit. Play Charlotte.
