The Toronto Raptors will host the Brooklyn Nets to open their first round playoffs series. Despite being a #6 seed, the Raptors will host the playoff game against the #3 seeded Nets because they were a division winner. While the Nets spent more than $100 million more than the Raptors this season, this Toronto team has surprised all season. From a week before Christmas forward, the Raptors tied the Chicago Bulls with the most wins in the Eastern Conference with 39, and are considerably undervalued here. The Nets had a strong finish as well, but most of the damage was done on their home court. The Nets finished at 16-2 in their last 18 home games, but just 4-7 in their last 11 on the road. The oddsmakers are saying the Nets are the better team here, as home court advantage in the playoffs is about 1.5 points higher than the regular season. The Nets finished 1-6 ATS in their last seven on the road, while Toronto is 17-4-1 ATS in their last 22 when following a loss. Take Toronto in this one.
