The two-time defending champion Miami Heat didn't look like a team ready to make it three in a row in the regular season, but they have obviously amped it up for the playoffs. The Heat are 5-0 so far in the playoffs, and the fact that they are well rested and have Dwayne Wade, and LeBron healthy is a huge edge. This is just the Heat's sixth game in 22 days, and they are very fresh. A fresh Heat team is focused on the defensive end, and that is the heart of this team. The Heat own an 18-11 ATS record at home over the last 2+ years in the playoffs. They have been huge on defense, allowing just over 89 points per game, carrying a solid double-digit margin of victory in the 29 games. Remember that Brooklyn was beaten badly here, but it could have been worse as Deron Williams hit a pair of long 3-pointers as time expired at the end of two periods. Take away those fortunate desperation heaves and the margin would have been 6 points worse, and the Nets' output reduced to just 80. If the Nets learned one thing, it is that they need to match the defensive intensity of the Heat in this game, or they will be buried for a second straight time. The Nets are 1-4 ATS the last five times their opponent hit the century mark, and the Heat are now 22-8-1 ATS in the last 31 conference semifinal games. The last six played in Miami in this series have seen the UNDER prevail to a 5-1 mark. The Heat are all about defense in the playoffs, particularly at home, and the agenda this year will be about rest and putting teams away in four or five games. Take Miami and the UNDER in this one.
