The LA Lakers fell behind early last night against Portland. They spent the rest of the game chasing, and almost came back but suffered a difficult three-point loss. They have to come back tonight on no rest after spending a lot of physical and emotional energy to take on Brooklyn, a team that has dropped three straight and sniffs a winnable game in LA. These teams made a trade that sent Deangelo Russell to the Nets and he is adding 21.7 points per game to the offense. LA in turn ended up with Brook Lopez, and thought his emergence as a three-point shooter could help open the floor, he has shot just 26.7% from deep. LA shot a season's best 54.4% last night, turned the ball over just 11 times, a season's low, and still lost. Take Brooklyn.
