Boston at Portland

The Celtics haven't been enjoying life on the road, or without Paul Pierce. They did manage a big comeback last night in the 4th quarter to get the cover at Seattle. Portland mires in yet another losing season as well, and we feel this is a double spot for game and total. Portland should not be favored against anyone, and it is not often they are. The past few years has seen them as a favorite on rare occasion, and the last 20 times they have been a favorite, they are 4-16 ATS. What is more remarkable is they have lost 55% of these games straight-up! Boston is desperate for a win and no doubt this is a place they feel they can come in and grab one. It also presents an opportunity to play this game over the total as both teams feel they can run on each other. Boston has played 18 of their last 21 OVER the total vs the NBA Northwest and 24 of 34 OVER vs a team with a losing home record. Portland has played 11 of the last 14 OVER when they have been a favorite, and 13 of their last 16 vs a team with a losing record have also gone OVER. They have played 10 of their last 12 at home OVER as well.
