The Atlanta Hawks have played some solid defense on their way to a 12-5 mark. With a win tonight in Miami they can actually take over the lead in the NBA Southeast, so I expect them to bring the defense. The Hawks have allowed less than 100 points a game to 14 of their last 16 opponents, excluding overtime minutes, so it certainly looks like the winner here is not getting to the century mark. The first meeting went like that, when there was just 184 points scored. After a couple of losses the Heat got back to work on the defensive end limiting New orleans to 90 points. With the Hawks threatening to take over the lead in the division I expect the Heat will be focused on the defensive end tonight. Atlanta is 30-14 to the UNDER in their last 44 inside the division and 13 of the last 16 meetings between these clubs have fallen short of the total. UNDER is the play.
