Brooklyn Nets vs Minnesota Timberwolves

Brooklyn's defense is 12th in the NBA in field goal shooting allowed. The Nets are 96-53 ATS on the road when playing their second game in five days. Minnesota dropped its first game after the break, losing at home to the Bucks, 112-107, as a favorite. The offense is 20th in points scored, plus 19th from the charity stripe (78.7%). The Timberwolves are 4-14 ATS after covering five or six of their last seven. The last three meetings between these teams have been decided by 2, 5, and one point, so back the big underdog. Minnesota has shown some vulnerability lately losing two in a row at home to Oklahoma City and then to Charlotte as a 14-point favorite on Monday. The Timberwolves did bounce back to defeat hapless Washington last night when Anthony Edwards scored 15 of his 38 points in the fourth quarter. Brooklyn led most of the game against New York before falling 108-103 on Tuesday. The Nets got 36 points from Mikal Bridges, but it wasn't enough as the Knicks pulled away late. The Timberwolves are just 1-4 ATS as favorites of 0.5-4.5 points and they have covered the spread two of their past five games. Look for Brooklyn to play focused for 48 minutes after blowing a nine-point lead heading into the fourth quarter against the Knicks. Take the Nets as a Max Play. 

The Minnesota Timberwolves currently hold down the nine seed in the Western Conference playoffs, but they are just two games behind the 6th seed so they still have a chance to win their way out of the ply in the round. The Nets are a misleading 6th in the East right now, but they have traded away a lot of the star power on this team, and over their last 28 games they are just 12-16 They are not playing like a playoff team, and I don't expect they will as the team has lost a lot of talent that built their early success. Minnesota has lost three straight to three teams that are all better than Brooklyn is at this point, and the T-Wolves also won four straight before the losses.
