35-year-old Marcos Rogerio De Lima is past his prime with a losing UFC record (5-6). And in the five victories, those opponents combined to go 11-20 in the UFC. He comes off a win over Ben Sosoli via TKO, but he hasn't been able to string victories together since 2014, which preceded his arrival to the UFC. This is a difficult matchup for the veteran De Lima as he's been taken to the mat easily by opponents with a terrible 35% takedown defensive rate in 11 UFC bouts. That will be a concern against an athletic and younger fighter in Alexander Romanov. This is Romanov's first UFC fight after going 11-0 (four knockouts, seven submissions), mostly with Eagles Fighting Championship. Nine of his 11 fights ended in the first round as he's quick on his feet and outstanding at taking opponents to the ground with great wrestling skills. For this bout, Romanov is six years younger, has a one-inch height advantage, a one-inch reach edge, and is the superior wrestler. And he's going against an aging opponent who runs out of gas quickly. De Lima is 4-4 in his last eight bouts with the four defeats failing to get to the third round. Take Alexander Romanov to win the fight.
