35-year old John Phillips has had a rough start to his UFC career (1-3). He lost his first three bouts before getting a win in his last fight over Alen Amedovski (who is 0-2 in the UFC). Phillips is all about power, with little development in the specializations of mixed martial arts (his takedown defense is just 14%). He lost his first two UCF bouts via rear-naked chokes to Kevin Holland and Charles Byrd. He faces 26-year old Khamzat Chimaev, one of Europe's top welterweight prospects. Chimaev is making his UFC debut, 9-0 in his career as a pro and amateur. He is three inches taller, nine years younger, and has more versatility to his game with one KO, two TKOs, and three submission wins (Rear-Naked Choke, Heel Hook, Strikes) in his six pro bouts. Take Khamzat Chimaev to win the fight.
