Chris Gutierrez is favored but has lost three of his last nine fights. He lost a pair of unanimous decisions to Jerrod Sanders and Timur Valiev, plus lost four fights ago via submission to Raoni Barcelos. He's 3-1 in UFC action. Gutierrez has power in his fists and with leg kicks, but he's not strong with takedowns, averaging 0.33 takedowns per every 15 minutes at an accuracy of 33%. Cody Durden presents a tough challenge, making his UFC debut riding a seven-fight win streak, and only one of those went the distance. Durden is ranked #15 out of 908 active U.S. Pro Bantamweights. He has plenty of power of his own (five knockouts, 45% of his bouts), is a good defender, and has excellent wrestling skills. He has a one-inch height advantage and will use all those skills to attack Gutierrez's takedown weakness. In addition, eight of his 13 career fights have ended in the first round, so he's capable of going toe-to-toe in power with multiple ways to pull the upset. Take Cody Durden to win the fight.
