The Washington Nationals have impressively entered the realm of the tough AL East and taken four straight games. Tonight they may have a much more difficult time making that five, facing off against Hector Alvarez and his ability to throw strikes. He has walked just 18 in 79 innings of work. At the same time, the Nats are taking a flyer on Chein Ming Wang who has dealt with injuries the past few years, and has never been the same since compiling a 46-15 record with the Yankees. Wang has worked 116 innings since then and has allowed 151 hits, while walking 59, or 210 baserunners in 116 innings, almost 2 per inning. There will be a lot of chances tonight for a hard-hitting Blue Jays’ offense, while the Nats are just 8-20 vs. interleague right-handers. Play on Toronto.
