We will ride the Cardinals gravy train once again today. The Cards are on fire as they are competing for the best record in the majors as they are currently 14-7. They send Sidney Ponson on the mound today who seems to have gotten back on track after his first outing. The South African is 2-0 with a 3.31 era and has consistently gotten better in each of his outings including his last outing in which he pitched 5 innings and gave up just 1 ER on the road against the Cubs. Washington in turn is struggling once again this season as they come off their last home game with one of the lowest attendance figures in franchise history as it seems that regardless where you move, if your team is not winning, the fans simply will not shell out the money to come watch. The Nats have the inverse of the Cards record and are 7-14 and send a rookie O'Connor on the mound today to face one of the best lineups in baseball. I think if we look close enough, we'll seem him litterly shaking when Pujols steps to the plate. Let's take the Cards today as the Nats are 0-4 in their last 4 overall, the Cards are 3-0 in their last 3, and the Nats are just 2-8 in their last 10 meetings in St. Louis.
