The Nationals were on their way to a sweep in Philly with a five-run first inning yesterday, but the pitching could not protect the lead. Tonight they send Odalis Perez against the Cards. The Cards have killed Perez in the past as he comes in with a career 8.66 ERA against them, allowing 62 hits in just 43 innings. Pujols has been a one-man wrecking crew with a career .650 average against Perez that includes five HRS. On the other side, Brandon Looper has had a lot of success against the Nats. He brings in a nifty 2.64 ERA against them for his career. They are also a combined 7-49 (.143) against Card's closer Jason Isringhausen. Like the Cards to put away the Nats tonight.
