Washington at San Francisco

San Francisco has won five of seven as it clings to first place in the NL West after beating the Nationals 5-3 on Friday. Darin Ruf had an RBI single and one of the Giants' three homers. Washington was hot for a while, but the Nationals since have lost seven of their last nine games, including blowing a 8-0 lead against San Diego. The Giants have won three of five meetings this season and have Anthony DeSclafani on the mound today and he is 9-3 with a 2.84 ERA and San Francisco has won 12 of his 17 starts this year. Jon Lester is having rough season overall and especially on the road where he is 0-2 with a 7.08 ERA and .322 opponent batting average in 20 1/3 innings. San Francisco is 21-7 after scoring at least five runs its previous game and 36-15 as a home favorite. Play the Giants.
