Gio Gonzalez has gotten win No. 20, and at this stage of the season with the division all but under lock and key, the Nats’ interests lie in setting their rotation for the playoffs. So I doubt they extend Gonzalez here to more than just getting his work in. We already saw how they handled Stephen Strasburg. The Phillies have pushed their record over the .500 mark, and have gotten good work out of Tyler Cloyd who has not allowed more than 4 runs in any of his five starts, with the Phillies winning three of them. The Nationals haven't been as focused of late, dropping five straight after a win. The Phillies have been lighting-it-up at home vs. lefthanders at 11-2 in their last 13 against them. They have also been a live dog, as they are now 8-1 in their last nine as an underdog. Play on Philadelphia.
