There is no doubt that the Phillies’ pitching staff is living up to their billing. They need it too as the offense has glimpses of their old selves. But it is their old selves that are diminishing in production. The Phillies have scored 3 or fewer runs 14 times already - almost half their games. The Nats have won four of their last seven games, and are swinging the bats fairly well. John lannan has the capacity to keep them in games and in his six starts this season the Nats would be 5-1 if facing a +1.5 runline. Back Washington on the runline in this one.
