Washington certainly has not been as good as most had expected, and although they have won four straight coming into this series against the Phillies, the road has not been kind to them where they own just a 19-24 record. Philadelphia has been playing really well and have gone 4-2 in July, and their last two series were against division leaders, and they won both of them. Dan Haren was a top of the rotation pitcher at one time, but that has been far for the case this season. Haren is just 4-9 with a 6.15 ERA, and is fresh off the DL to make this start. Washington is an ugly 0-8 in his last eight starts. The Phillies, 7-1 in their last eight vs. a pitcher with a WHIP of greater than 1.30, certainly look like the valued choice here on the plus side of the run line. Play on Philadelphia on the run line.
