The Washington Nationals were expected to be a force in the NL a year ago, but just didn't get it done. The Nats suffered a poor 52-56 start, and just had too much ground to make up as injuries took their toll. They start fresh behing ace Stephen Strausberg. Strausberg has held hitters to a .212 batting average against him, and the Mets have found little success as he owns a career 1.88 ERA against them. The fact that Dillon Gee is the ace of the Mets staff has to be raising red flags to the rotation of the Mets, who appear to be in for another long season.
