Washington is on a 1-5 skid on the road after losing 2-1 at the Mets yesterday. The offense is 22nd in runs scored, 16th in on-base percentage, and 19th in slugging, while the pitching is 27th in ERA (4.93) with the second-worst bullpen (5.45 ERA). The offense is also 18th in steals and the defense is 20th in fielding percentage. Starter MacKenzie Gore has a 4.60 ERA on the road and doesn't go deep into games because he walks too many batters (43 in 101 innings). The Nationals are 26-76 versus the NL East, 19-48 after a one-run loss, and 19-49 after a contest where their bullpen blew a save.
